Lambeth Single Parents Housing Support

Housing advice and intensive support for single parents living in temporary accommodation (TA) in Lambeth

Living in cramped, dirty rooms that are unsuitable for their or their children’s well-being, single parents in TA face acute challenges.

We know that single parents feel financially and emotionally burdened, isolated, and struggle with finding the right support for their needs. The children in TA face mental health difficulties, disruptions in education, health problems, and more.

Our new service provides community-based housing advice and support for single parents living in TA. We address urgent housing concerns and provide essential advice and tailored support for families with complex needs.

Support Provided

Our integrated, community-centric approach equips parents with knowledge of their housing rights, availability of resources, and the confidence to advocate for their families’ needs.

We support with:

  • Community drop-in housing surgeries for advice, legal support and signposting to other services
  • Intensive support for families with complex needs
  • Early intervention to prevent tenancy breakdown
  • Mediation services to resolve conflicts and sustain tenancies
  • Workshops and community engagement to equip parents with information and practical advice
