Kineara is partnering with We Belong, a youth-led organisation campaigning for the rights of young migrants, to launch a monthly housing clinic for young migrants aged 16 to 25 who are facing housing problems or want to understand their housing rights and support available to them.
For many young migrants who grown up in the UK, finding safe, affordable and secure housing can be a complex, expensive and long process. Due to insecure immigration status, including awaiting Home Office decisions, holding Limited Leave to Remain, or being a refugee or asylum seeker, individuals may face immigration related restrictions, uncertainties, or other increased vulnerabilities that affect their right to rent, right to work, and access to essential support. It is therefore imperative for young people and families to understand their housing rights and ensure they can access appropriate advice and support.
To launch the partnership from November 2026, Kineara will deliver an Information Session. This will focus on the following areas:
- An introduction to the partnership between Kineara and We Belong
- Homelessness and eviction support
- Local Housing Allowance (LHA) and rental affordability
- Finding private rented accommodation
- Tenancy agreements, rights and responsibilities
- Repairs, eviction procedures and rent increases
The sessions support participants to work through practical scenarios, take part in group discussions and ask questions.
This will be followed by monthly housing clinics for We Belong’s community and wider network.

An introductory online information session about the housing clinic will take place on Wednesday 11th November, from 6pm-7:30pm. It’s open to young migrants who want to find out more about the housing clinic, dates for the clinics will be revealed in the information session: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/2003715411735?aff=oddtdtcreator
The partnership builds on Kineara’s commitment to make housing advice easier to reach for people facing complex or multiple barriers who might otherwise struggle to find the right support. It also underpins We Belong’s vision to ensure the barriers around preventing full integration for migrants are removed and ensuring equal treatments for young people. The clinic is part of Kineara’s community outreach project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
“Through this partnership with We Belong, we are able to further Kineara’s mission of breaking down barriers for people facing complex challenges. This partnership enables both organisations to support young people in a space they already trust with practical information they can act on. We hope that every young person who comes to the clinic leaves feeling more confident about their options and more secure in their housing journey.” – Maria Morgan, Founder, Kineara
“Our partnership with Kineara brings housing expertise directly to We Belong’s community, helping young migrants understand their rights and access practical support, whether they are securing their immigration status, moving towards independence or facing vulnerability while awaiting a decision. Together, we are making housing less daunting to navigate and strengthening our holistic support.” – Chrisann Jarrett, CEO, We Belong
About We Belong
We Belong is a UK charity established and led by young migrants. With chapters in London and Manchester, it is the first nationwide charity of its kind, and our mission is to campaign for equal treatment of young migrants who are proud to call the UK home. We seek to create strong counter-narrative to the UK’s hostile environment by advocating for reform within the UK’s immigration system.
We engage with young people aged 16-25 to become leaders by providing a safe platform to collaborate, raise their voices, and receive one-on-one advice, training, and opportunities in areas such as education, leadership, employability and Immigration support.
