Support us

You can help us transform the lives of vulnerable people

Kineara is a Community Interest Company, which means any money we make goes back into improving and expanding our services for the improvement of our community. We fund our services through payments for our programmes by partners, social investments and grants.

However, money is always tight and there are always more ways that we could support those we work with. We’ve worked with over 500 households in some of London’s most deprived communities, with many facing poverty, isolation, mental ill health and exclusion. Many of the people we support are in crisis moments in their lives and what seem like little extras can be life changing.

Your donation can help someone through a moment of crisis. You could support them to furnish a new home, get new clothes for interviews, buy a bag of fresh groceries or pay for heating for the month. And it will help us continue to provide our practical and emotional support to those most in need.

Our fundraisers

Many people who are referred to Kineara are living in fuel, food, furniture and digital poverty.  By providing some essential items such as children’s beds, washing machines or a phone this can quite literally change someone’s life. We work hard to apply for grants to get the items needed but sometimes there may be long waiting list or the client may not meet the criteria so they have to go without essential items.

We are asking for donations so we can ensure that our clients are not living in the dark or cold because they cannot afford electricity and they are not without beds and bedding. We appreciate all the support that we get.

Many of us were fortunate enough to get through lockdown with a phone, computer and the internet. But there were many who couldn't FaceTime or Zoom their friends and family, they had little or no contact with others. We want to make sure everyone in our community has access to technology and skills to go online. Our digital inclusion courses help people gain confidence so that they become digitally independent and connected to the services and networks they need.

Finances shouldn't be a barrier to access, so everyone on the course gets IT equipment and a dedicated holistic support worker through the course.

Thank you for showing me how amazing my daughter is...you have brought us so much closer to one another.

Fundraise for us

There are many creative ways you can raise money for Kineara to help vulnerable people who are housing insecure or in financial hardship. People sometimes do sponsored runs, swims or marathons, or host an event in their local community like a games night or a virtual pub quiz. Any amount you raise would go directly towards improving the lives of people we support and would make a big difference to their lives.

£10 could cover travel for a week for some to attend sessions with us. £25 could cover the food bill for a family struggling with food poverty for a week. And £200 could enable us to deliver specialist holistic support. Whatever you raise can help. If you have a fundraising idea or need some inspiration, just drop us an email  and we’ll talk it through with you.

Company giving

Companies that make one of or regular donations can make a huge difference to those we support. It is also a brilliant way of involving your company in the local community and giving something back those less fortunate. And there are a number of ways companies can get involved.

You and your colleagues could hold a fundraiser, make a regular company donation or you could arrange payroll giving. Or, you could offer skill shares like IT or donations-in-kind, like gift vouchers or equipment. To find out how to donate, just get in touch.
